NDE and ARE - VID - EOR

Exercise that doesn’t negate the intellect may spare us one or the other ‘fusion’ or ‘echo-experience’ with the ‘master’. Such is only to be left aside in the end anyway and culminate in the subsequent ‘assignment’.

This doesn’t go to say that bliss, or pleasure, needs to be forbeared.

It might not be quite such an ecstatic experience, but one can well benefit from an intellectual pleasure. J. Jaynes’ experience described just above represents an ‘assignment’ that bears a pleasure of recognition, for the recognition he was looking for. Practicing with ARE-VID-EOR allows clear assessment of what the ‘assignment’ calls for.

As one last example, let’s take near-death experience (NDE). People describe having felt as if they had separated from their bodies and could view themselves from above. As a matter fact, these cases are similar to déjà vu. Separating from oneself, that is, simultaneously centering and losing oneself in the head, letting oneself completely go, has the effect of approaching the focus point created through the cerebrum's concave mirror.

Lacan clearly described this point in its mirror position. By the way, it matches the ‘eye focal point’ in Surat Shabd Yoga on which concentration is to be set in Kirpal Singh’s meditation. One only virtually sees oneself as an entirety in the Other. ‘Seeing’ from the base, focal point or brain mirror is possible due to being so greatly reduced or diminished in the focal point SHINES, that the impression is as if having omni-directional sight.

The case is quite similar to what was mentioned above concerning omni-perception in film theory. You find yourself totally engulfed in the Other’s attention (in the attention of the total film, of the viewer’s, camera’s, actor’s and director’s gaze). Indeed, you a r e the Other at that moment. And this is the reason why you ‘see’ yourself as if from an external point of view, from the Other’s viewpoint. But in reality, you are only changing from the SHINES into the SPEAKS.

At that moment, it is as if there were a “See yourself!”, a “Look!”, a “VIDE”, an “ORA”, an exclamation, or a SPEAKS in greatest fear or just in greatest amazement. So, you see yourself as if from above, or from a completely different perspective.1 And for the strictest of scientists: The brain, in an NDE, knows of itself laying there and interprets the “See yourself!” as a hallucination of actually seeing itself. An NDE is a shock that captures itself in the imperative of an omni-perception.

But, the imperative – is it not exactly a beginning of an order, of the Other’s ‘assignment’? The Other says: “Look!”. And you see yourself lying on the ground as if from the thereafter of normal sight. Is ARE – VID – EOR not already combined establishment of attention and the Other’s assignment – even if only purely structural? The FORMULA – WORD only needs to be repeated in fullest ardency in order to feel and experience that.
